The main horsepower of this knife comes from the Carpenter CTS-204P* powdered steel blade, said to have exceptional toughness, wear-resistance, and edge retention. The knife handles are a duo kind – having a carbon fiber front scale and a stonewashed titanium back scale. Quite pocketable at 5.5 oz. (156 g) and a blade length of 3.5″ (overall length 8.3″, closed 4.8″).

The “Supernova” is a collaboration between Faisal Yamin (designer) and Les Voorhies (maker). Sporting handsome handles made from lightning strike carbon fiber (LSCF) with silver wire, the Supernova has titanium liners and a zirconium* pocket clip, pivot, and back spacer. It has a blade length of 3.5″, cutting edge of 3.375″ and an overall length of 8″. The blade is made from carpenter CTS-XHP steel alloy, which has the corrosion resistance of 440C steel but the hardness/toughness of D2 tool steel. Shown here in an exclusive left-handed version!
